The Ethiopian air force penetrated behind enemy lines, causing the Eritrean army heavy human and material losses.

They were trying to recapture what we had captured on those fronts. We are still holding those positions.

The sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ethiopia is being restored. Ethiopia does not want anything more beyond reclaiming its invaded land and it will not accept anything less.

Ethiopia has liberated all its territory, and considers the war over.

As the Ethiopian government has reiterated on numerous occasions, it has no interest in occupying sovereign Eritrean territory and, having achieved its goals, it has withdrawn its troops accordingly.
